Colin Powell has awakened from having partaken of the Obama Kool Aid. And now he has expressed “concern” about our march to a great socialist paradise. From the Washington Times:
Colin Powell, one of President Obama’s most prominent Republican supporters, expressed concern Friday that the president’s ambitious blitz of costly initiatives may be enlarging the size of government and the federal debt too much.
“I’m concerned at the number of programs that are being presented, the bills associated with these programs and the additional government that will be needed to execute them,” Mr. Powell said in an excerpt of an interview with CNN’s John King, released by the network Friday morning.
General Powell is a RINO, to be sure. But I respected the man for his accomplishments, and thought that he knew the difference between right and wrong. But when he endorsed Obama against the honorable John McCain, the general lost virtually all goodwill I had had towards my fellow Bronxman.
A clear review of B.H. Obama’s close associations (Wright and Rezko, and his intellectual mentor, Saul Alinsky), coupled with his cowardly record (“present” was his most frequent vote, it seems) and his leftist tendencies, should all have made the choice between McCain and Obama a no-brainer.
But Colin Powell chose the charaltan. Hope you are happy, sir.
