It is timely, after the hate-fest that just went on at Turtle Bay in New York at the United Nations General Conference. One of the now-normal slams against Israel is that it is an “apartheid” state. You know, like big, bad, South Africa before Saint Nelson freed them. My online dictionary gives this definition for apartheid:
1. (in the Republic of South Africa) a rigid policy of segregation of the nonwhite population.
2. any system or practice that separates people according to race, caste, etc.
This is a twofer for enemies of the world’s only Jewish state: direct linkage with South Africa, and slamming them for allegedly continuing an evil practice that has been rightly condemned by the civilized world.
And who is it that leads these cheers? Arabs, especially “Palestinians” who claim that the Jews practice apartheid against them. Arabs who demand a state that will, wait for it, be judenfrei: zero Jews, none welcome, those on Arab land must leave.
Israel today is 20 percent Arab. And, despite some extremists’ calls for ethnic cleansing, will remain at least at that level for the foreseeable future. Any Palestinian state will have no Jews; will have to be ethnically cleansed.
Why is it that we in the West support the apartheid Arabs? Why is there such blatant hypocrisy? Why, in calling for an Arab state to live in peace alongside Israel, do we not demand that Jews be allowed to live among the Arabs?
Oh, yes. Forgot: Arabs, if not the so-called Palestinians, have oil. They are also predominantly Muslim. We in the West appease Islam; don’t want them to start up their armed attacks.
Oh, terrorism? Taliban? Al-Qaeda? You mean Islam is still on the march, sword in hand? Nevermind; we’ll sacrifice the Jews.
