Just shut up and listen

Via Mark Steyn, Saint Barack the Unready had this to say:

“I think the assumption was if I just focus on policy, if I just focus on this provision or that law or if we’re making a good rational decision here, then people will get it… [I need to start] speaking directly to the American people.”

Guess we’ve not been listening with sufficient care. According to CBS News, here’s a partial list of The Great One’s first year activities:

Speeches, Comments & Remarks: 411
News conferences: 42
Interviews: 158
Town hall meetings: 23

And a partridge in a pear tree, I suppose. The problem, and yes, Saint B., there is a problem, is that you don’t listen to Americans. Actual Americans who work for a living and who are not Ivy League “educated” or community organizers or on welfare.

You need to shut up, and listen. Stop talking; learn from real Americans, not the whiny radicals who staff your White House or the sycophants in the mainstream media.
