April 19, yesterday, is the anniversary of the 1995 terrorist bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in OKC. As is well-known, at least among the left and their pet media, Tim McVeigh, the Murrah Building perp, is also the poster boy for anti-government action by conservatives and independents.
Hence the Tea Party crowds are one or more of the following: fascists, racists, terrorists, anarchists. Why? Because they are dissenters against the most liberal president in history. But, then, dissent is only patriotic when it’s against a Republican…
So, per usual, lefties and their enablers attempt to connect Tim McVeigh to the Tea Parties, and, as Bill Clinton did in 1995, when he wasn’t groping White House interns, ties Rush Limbaugh and other conservative commentators directly to heinous deeds like the Murrah Building bombing.
Unfortunately, the truth is much simpler: McVeigh and his small crew are an outlier, not at all representative of any significant anti-tax, anti-socialist movement. Their motivation? Revenge for the Waco assault that claimed at least 80, including children and 4 ATF agents. Don’t shed any tears for the Waco wackos, although their children surely didn’t deserve to die. But, this is the reason stated by McVeigh for his revenge against the Feds.
Oh, the assault on the Branch Davidian compound at Waco took place on April 19, 1993. An inconvenient coincidence for the left.
