In situations like this, Israel can’t win for losing. If it lets the “humanitarian” flotilla in unmolested, Hamas terrorists bent on genocide win. If the flotilla is stopped, with attendant loss of life, Hamas gets a propaganda victory.
The only solace may come from the Psalmist, who reminds us in Psalm 121:1-8:
I lift up my eyes to the hills. From whence does my help come? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth. He will not let your foot be moved, he who keeps you will not slumber. Behold, he who keeps Israel will neither slumber nor sleep. The Lord is your keeper; the Lord is your shade on your right hand. The sun shall not smite you by day, nor the moon by night. The Lord will keep you from all evil; he will keep your life. The Lord will keep your going out and your coming in from this time forth and for evermore.
Belief in God is a tough sell for many, yet the mere existence of Israel may get the skeptics to start asking how else is such a thing possible? That thing being a Jewish state in the Middle East, on again, off again, but still there more than 3,000 years since King David. Surely God has a plan that includes Israel, else they’d have been destroyed eons ago by their many enemies.
