Freedom of religion

There might have been worse things than the plans to build a mega-mosque hard by the site of the World Trade Center attacks. Not many come to mind. It is insulting, to the max.

What about freedom of religion, that we all cherish? Yes, but that does not extend to those who would destroy us. Sedition, in the form of the “religion of peace” that is Islam, is not covered by our First Amendment.

The picture, taken at a protest against the planned mosque, says it all in the sign the young woman is holding: You can build a mosque at Ground Zero when we can build a synagogue in Mecca. Indeed.
