The lefties, as usual, treat any such questions as beyond the pale. Politico, a reliably left-leaning website, uses charged language:
Donald Trump now sees himself as something of a patron saint for the birthers…Trump cast himself as something akin to the rebel leader of the birther movement…Trump’s insistence that he’s being encouraged to continue on his birther crusade…
Got to love that “birther crusade.” Actually, The Donald does not seem to be a “birther” so much as an American who wonders why Obama has not simply produced his birth certificate. If only to stop the controversy.
Parting shot from The Donald:
“Now, this guy either has a birth certificate or he doesn’t…And I didn’t think this was such a big deal, but I will tell you, it’s turning out to be a very big deal because people now are calling me from all over saying, please don’t give up on this issue.”
It seems that the left loves to demonize any who ask a simple question. It’s easier to call Trump names such as “birther crusader” than deal directly with what is a reasonable question given this president’s unusual background and years spent living out of the country.
A reasonable question that I think would be put to bed by the simple release of a single document.
