Let me count the ways…

…that the proposed “comprehensive” immigration reform is like Obamacare. The Heritage Foundation’s Morning Bell has this summary of five ways in which the immigration bill looks like Obamacare.

These are:

1. Extreme Costs

2. False Promises

3. Have to Pass It to See What’s In It

4. Piles on Already Broken—and Broke—Entitlement Programs

5. Perks for Special Interests.

Any bill that starts by granting amnesty to all those here illegally is not just a bad bill. It flies in the face of the United States as a nation of laws.

Let us not sacrifice that essential rock on which our republic was built. The votes it might garner from illegals just aren’t worth our national soul.
